Bio

Allan is the Aca­d­e­mic Com­put­ing Coor­di­na­tor at Camp­bell, lead­ing a team that sup­ports uni­ver­sity teach­ing and learn­ing through the use of instruc­tional tech­nolo­gies and related ser­vices. The team’s objec­tive is to pro­vide lead­er­ship, coor­di­na­tion, and con­sul­ta­tive sup­port for the use of tech­nol­ogy to meet the ped­a­gog­i­cal needs of the fac­ulty and staff.

Back­ground

Allan holds a Mas­ters of Sci­ence Degree in Edu­ca­tion with an empha­sis in Music and Com­puter Assisted Instruc­tion from the Uni­ver­sity of Illi­nois at Urbana-Cham­paign, where he was a grad­u­ate assis­tant at the Com­put­er­ized Edu­ca­tion Research Lab­o­ra­tory. His bachelor’s degree in edu­ca­tion is from East Car­olina Uni­ver­sity in Greenville, North Car­olina. His expe­ri­ence includes class­room instruc­tion in sec­ondary and higher edu­ca­tion, instruc­tional design, con­tent man­age­ment sys­tem imple­men­ta­tion, process engi­neer­ing and work­flow design.

Allan also serves as an Adjunct Pro­fes­sor of Applied Music (French horn) in the Col­lege of Arts and Sci­ences Music Depart­ment.
